Instructions on how to add people to your course
Step 1: Invite people to your course
To add a course leader, click the plus button at the top of the people page. On the drop-down menu, click Invite leaders.
Pro-tip: If you don't see the Plus button, you need to publish your course.
Enter the email address of the person that you want to invite to your course. Only people with a Skipper account can be added to your course. Make sure you use their correct email address that is connected to their Skipper account. Next, select their role and click the Invite to Course button to send the invitation.
Step 2: Person accepts your invitation
The course leader will receive an email letting them know they've been invited to join your course.
Pro-tip: If the person has their email notification turned on for their Course Membership Status, they will be invited to join your class. They will also see the invitation on their Skipper dashboard when they log into their account.
Review your People page for invitation status
Until your course leader accepts the invitation to join your course, you will see a Pending status next to their name. The Pending status will be removed when the person accepts your invitation.
As an instructor you can also
Resend the invitation. This will send another email to remind the person to either accept or decline your invitation.
Cancel the invitation. This will remove the invitation from the person's dashboard, and cannot join your course until you send another invitation.
Edit Role. You can edit the person's role before or after they join your course.
Pro-tips:
Only adults with a Skipper account can be invited to join your class to be a Course Leader.
Instructors can add custom roles in Course Settings > Roles
