Join Course Code Details
You will open a pop-up with your course code. Copy this code and email it to your students. Typically, teachers send the join course code in their welcome email.
Reset the Join Course Code
If needed, you reset the Join Course Code, and the previous code will no longer work, and whoever has the last code will not be able to join your course until they receive the new code.
So be careful if you've already given out your course code. If you reset the code, you'll have to send a new code to your students who have not yet joined your course.
Disable Join Course Code
If you want to close your course and not allow anyone to join your course with a code, you can disable the join course code. This setting prevents people from entering your course, even if they have previous course codes.
When you click the Invite Students, you may see this Enable Joined by Code pop-up. Just click the Enable Join by Code button, and now you can copy the code and send it to your students.
Code Expiration
All course codes expire after a certain amount of days. In this example, this course code expires in 7 days. Your student must join your course within this timeframe. Otherwise, you will have to send them a new code.
Confirmation Required
You can add additional security of who can join your course by turning on the Confirmation Required setting. Students can join your class when this setting is turned on but will be pending until an instructor confirms the student can join the class.
It's essential to regularly check your people page to accept students waiting to join your course.
To keep enrollment simple, keep this setting turned off. You can quickly drop a person from your course who doesn't belong in your class.
